Desiree potatoes have smooth, pink-coloured skin. They’re usually slightly oval in shape, with creamy-yellow flesh. Their skin is very thin, so there’s no need to peel them. Desiree potatoes are available all year round and are an all-purpose variety, good boiled, mashed or roasted.
