Green kiwifruit are round to oval-shaped fruit, with thin, furry brown skin. Inside, their flesh is bright green, with an edible white to pale green core and small black seeds. In flavour, the kiwifruit is sweet but acidic, with moist, soft flesh. Available all year round, green kiwifruit are great fresh on their own and in salads, used to garnish desserts and cakes, or cooked in preserves.

Look for firm, plump green kiwifruit, with no splits in the skin.
To Store
Store green kiwifruit at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, until they yield slightly to gentle pressure. Once at this stage, store in the fridge for 2 to 3 days
To Prepare
Simply peel green kiwifruit then slice and enjoy. A good way to peel them is to cut a thin slice off each end then stand on a chopping board. Run a small sharp knife between the flesh and the skin to remove skin in strips.
