Mint

Mint is one of the best-known and most well-loved herbs in the world. Its clean, fresh taste is a welcome addition to all kinds of sweet and savoury dishes, as well as drinks. There are many varieties of mint available but the most commonly seen is spearmint, which has long narrow leaves with serrated edges. Mint is available all year round.

To Buy

Look for fresh-looking mint, with bright green leaves and no black or yellow patches

To Store

Wrap mint in paper towels then store in a plastic bag in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.

To Prepare

Wash then remove the leaves from the stems. Slice or chop as required.
