Radicchio treviso

Radicchio treviso has elongated, quite firm leaves, and resembles a cos lettuce in shape. Its leaves are a deep crimson-maroon colour, with thick white spines and ribs. Radicchio treviso is slightly less bitter then regular radicchio. It can be used in salads and is also a good choice for cooking – grilled, braised or used as wrappers for other ingredients.
