Radishes are a most attractive vegetable – their delicate pink skin and pure white flesh can lift any salad or sandwich to gourmet heights. Their refreshing yet peppery flavour is a great complement to many different dishes. Radishes are available all year round, and can be used in salads, sandwiches and pickles.

To Buy

Look for radishes with fresh-looking, crisp green leaves. Their skin shouldn’t have any splits or discoloured patches.

To Store

Store radishes in a plastic bag in the crisper section of your fridge for up to 1 week

To Prepare

Trim away the leaves and the small root then wash well in cold water. Slice or chop as required
