Tarragon

Tarragon has narrow, quite long green leaves. Its taste is delicate and aniseed-like, and numbs the tongue slightly when a fresh leaf is chewed. Tarragon is available all year round, and pairs well with beef, chicken and fish dishes.

To Buy

Look for fresh-looking tarragon, with green leaves that are free of any black or yellow tinges

To Store

Wrap tarragon in paper towels then store in a plastic bag in the fridge for up to 1 week.

To Prepare

Lightly wash then remove the leaves from the stalks. Slice as required.
