Wombok is also known as Chinese cabbage and has a mild, sweet flavour. It’s an oval-shaped cabbage, with quite thin pale green leaves and thick white ribs. Wombok can be shredded and used in salads, steamed, stir-fried or used to make cabbage rolls. It’s available all year round.

Wombok should feel relatively heavy for their size, with crisp leaves. They shouldn’t have any soft or discoloured patches.
To Store
Store wombok in a plastic bag in the crisper section of your fridge for up to 1 week
To Prepare
Cut or slice wombok as required then wash in cold water. Pat dry then use as desired
