BREAD AND BUTTER with RAISIN AND ALMONDS

For The Bread and Butter Pudding :

  • ½ loaf Soft Sandwich Bread , slice and crust off
  • 50gr Butter Unsalted
  • 600ml Milk
  • 200ml Elle & Vire Special Cooking Cream
  • 120gr Castor Sugar
  • 2 pc Egg
  • 2 tbsp Slivered Amonds Toasted
  • 2 tbsp Raisin

Method For The Bread and Butter Pudding :

  1. Butter the sandwich slice on both sides
  2. Cut in triangles
  3. Place in the prepared buttered moulds with almonds and raisin
  4. Boil milk, cream and sugar once
  5. Pour on top of the egg stiring
  6. Strain
  7. Pour on top of prepare bread in moulds
  8. Sprinkle with little brown sugar
  9. Bake at 170ºC for 25 to 30 minute
  10. Dust with icing sugar
  11. Serve warm with custard

For The Custard :

  • 3 cup Full Cream Milk-green field or bull
  • 2 tsp Maizena
  • 5 tbsp Castor Sugar
  • little Vanilla Essence
  • 4 pc Egg Yolk

Method For The Custard :

  1. Mix all the items together
  2. Bring to the boil slowly
  3. Remove from the heat. Strain and blend
