SESAME SALAD WITH SCALLOP

Ingredients :

  • 600gr sea scallops
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon chopped garlic
  • ¼ cup rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 2 tablespoon sesame paste ‘Tahini ‘
  • 4 cup Mesclun salad
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup fresh basil leave
  • ¼ teaspoon hot red pepper flakes or cayenne
  • 2 tablespoon toasted sesame seed

Directions :

  1. Start a grill.
  2. For dressing: Combine soy sauce, Tahini, sesame oil, hot pepper/cayenne, honey, garlic and ginger in a food processor or bowl until smooth.
  3. Sprinkle salt over scallops and grill them for 2 minutes, they should remain tender and undercook in the middle.
  4. Combine the greens and basil if you’re using it and divide among 4 plates.
  5. When scallops are done, top the greens with them, then drizzle with the dressing, sprinkle with the sesame seed and served.
